Our Commitment to You

What sets us apart is our commitment to treating the cause, not just the behavior. We understand that recovery is a journey, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way. With our flexible, personalised program, you can continue to fulfill your daily responsibilities while gaining the support and skills you need to thrive. Don’t let substance dependence control and harm your life any longer, get in touch to explore how we can help you or your loved one.

So why seek help from Cheshire Sobriety Clinic
and what makes us different?

We utilise a combined approach of biopsychosocial interventions (i.e., those that consider biological, psychological and social factors) and also address the underlying emotional cause with powerful Rapid Transformational Therapy®. Our service could help you achieve your recovery goals as we are highly skilled, experienced and knowledgeable in treating the emotional and psychological cause of these difficulties.

If this is an area of your life with which you struggle, let’s spend a little time together where we will be your guide and navigate you through the change process. We have often met people when they are feeling their worst and really struggling with their circumstances. Negative emotions such as embarrassment and fear with physiological and psychological dependency all contribute to becoming stuck and get in the way of progress but together we can achieve great things.

We have a preference to see people in person and hold sessions in Alderley Edge and Lymm, Cheshire.  However, where this is not geographically possible, we can deliver treatment sessions over Zoom, which has no detriment to treatment effectiveness.  â€‹â€‹â€‹

Our approach

If you, or someone you know is experiencing problematic drug or alcohol use, we're here to help and guide you through the change process to help you achieve and maintain your recovery goals. Within the whole treatment sector, we have a unique approach to help you get to where you need to be. We address not only the problematic substance use but also explore and treat the emotional cause of these difficulties by integrating RTT® into our treatment programme, freeing you from difficult experiences and emotions. Unfortunately, addressing and resolving the cause is often missing from many treatment programmes, and relapse is often inevitable in these circumstances.

What is RTT®?

RTT® is a hybrid form of hypnosis that was pioneered by Marisa Peer. It is a combination of the most beneficial aspects of hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and psychotherapy.

Many of the difficulties addressed with RTT® can often be resolved within 1-3 sessions depending on how complex the underlying issue is. Listening regularly to personalised hypnosis audio may help reinforce your motivation and support your ongoing progress. RTT® is such a powerful tool which aims to reframe and change your established response to difficult experiences and emotions on a subconscious level, so that the level of distress and influence is reduced.

Why Trust Cheshire Sobriety Clinic to Help You Achieve
Your Treatment Goals?

We understand that seeking help for problematic alcohol and/or drug use is a brave decision. We’re here to guide you through every step of the recovery journey, providing the highest level of care, compassion, and expertise to support your unique needs. To us you are far more than just a minimum data set or successful discharge. There will come a time where you don't need us anymore, which means we have achieved everything we set out to and you are successfully self-managing. So here’s why you can trust us to help you achieve your treatment goals:

1. Experienced, ethical and compassionate team

Our team consists of highly trained healthcare professionals with extensive experience in addiction treatment and recovery. We not only bring clinical expertise to the table but also provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where your comfort and well-being are prioritised.

2. Personalised treatment plans

We know that every individual's path to recovery is different. That’s why we create personalised treatment plans tailored to your specific needs, circumstances, and goals. Our plans are flexible and adaptive to ensure your treatment progresses at a pace that’s right for you.

3. Holistic approach to recovery

We believe in treating the whole person, not just the addiction. This is why we can't ignore or underestimate the significance of the subconscious mind in maintaining these difficulties. Our holistic approach integrates physical, emotional, psychological, social, life style and mental health to help you rebuild your life. From individual sessions with John and the RTT® with Dr Shyra, designed to heal both body and mind and prevent the repetitive cycle of unpleasant and damaging behaviours. An RTT® session is used to target the underlining cause of these difficulties, rather than just focusing on changing the problematic behaviour. Even if you are not consciously aware of why you started to experience these difficulties, RTT® will uncover the emotional and psychological reasons, which can then be re-framed. This can make relapse far less likely to occur.

4. Safe and supportive environment

Safety is our top priority. We work within our range of expertise and provide a tranquil, secure setting where you can focus entirely on your recovery. Our facilities are designed to offer privacy, comfort, and calm, allowing you to heal in a space free from distractions. So you won't ever be sat in a waiting room which makes you feel uncomfortable.

5. Trusted

Many individuals have trusted us to help them achieve their treatment goals and have gone on to lead healthier, sober lives. Our comprehensive aftercare and support programs ensure that you continue receiving the help you need even after completing our programme.  If you would like to speak with someone who has been through our programme, please let us know as this is something we can arrange.

6. Confidentiality and respect

We understand the sensitive nature of addiction recovery and prioritise your privacy. Our clinic upholds the highest standards of confidentiality, so you can trust that your treatment remains completely private. Respect, dignity, and understanding are at the core of everything we do. This is why we're trusted by some high-profile individuals to keep their circumstances and treatment out of their socials and the media.

7. Comprehensive support

Recovery doesn’t end when you leave our doors. We’re committed to your long-term success, offering aftercare support and resources to help you maintain your sobriety. Our ongoing support ensures that you have the tools and guidance needed to stay on track and continue your journey with success and confidence. If you have any specific questions about any medical matters or if you think you may be suffering from any medical condition, you should consult your GP or other qualified healthcare provider. You should never delay seeking medical advice, disregard medical advice or discontinue medical treatment because of information on this website. Results cannot be guaranteed, moreover, results from individual testimonials are for reference only and your own personal experience may differ to those shown on this site, as outcomes are influenced by many factors outside of Cheshire Sobriety Clinic's control. If you have a physical dependency on alcohol, it is medically important not to suddenly stop drinking as this can cause acute alcohol withdrawal, delirium tremens, seizure and death. This programme is designed for individuals who are psychologically stable and not currently experiencing physical dependence requiring medical detox. The service is not a substitute for medical treatment, and we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before beginning any new treatment approach. Through the process of kindling, multiple detox's from alcohol and benzodiazepines can become significantly more difficult and dangerous. Medical attention should be sought at the earliest opportunity and you should attend Accident & Emergency following a medical event. RTT® is not a regulated medical procedure in the UK. We do not provide crisis care or medically managed or monitored detox. If you are in immediate risk or in crisis, please attend A&E, contact your GP or NHS 111.
